Exclusive multistream, multiplex capability

Sepaton supports SQL striping that speeds backup by writing data to multiple disk files. More importantly, only Sepaton can also deduplicate large, multistream, multiplexed, multithreaded databases. By using the actual content of the backup to identify duplicate data at the byte level, Sepaton can find duplicates in separate parallel backup streams and across multiplexed data volumes.

Conventional inline hash-based deduplication technologies can’t deduplicate in these environments — a limitation that puts an unnecessary constraint on database administrators and slowing down backups.

Sepaton, on the other hand, can support up to 16 simultaneous streams, allowing you to multiplex the backup streams while getting world-class deduplication efficiency.
