When partners become members of the Symantec Technology Enabled Program (STEP), they gain access to the OpenStorage API. Partners write code for a plug-in that can be installed on the media server platform(s) of their choice (e.g., Windows, Solaris, HP-UX, IBM AIX,Linux).
